  • Choose a base – The glossy finish is great for showing off those bright colors!
  • Use a shimmer finish to really make those darker colors pop.
  • Use scissors to cut out the nail polish capsule.
  • Gently peel off the film from the capsule.
  • Place it into your maker.
  • Following the recipe, turn each dial to the indicated position from 0 to 5.
  • Deluxe electronic edition only - The diamond will indicate the resulting color for the lighter nail polish shades.
  • Deluxe electronic edition only - The surrounding droplet ring will light up for darker color. Indicating the shade you are about to make.
  • Press only once the top of each dial used in the recipe to inject the color.
  • Gently remove your nail polish capsule from the maker.
  • Place it into a capsule holder, screw on the cap.
  • Shake well for 60 seconds.
  • Use the brush to apply the polish.
Finished with a color and want to refill it with a new one? Don’t start making a new color just yet! It’s important to wash and dry your used nail polish container before putting in a new color.
  • Remove the old capsule over the sink or some paper towels to avoid spilling on the table.
  • Gently unscrew the neck of the bottle.
  • Use your finger to push out the old capsule from the bottom of the bottle.
  • Wrap the old capsule in tissue to avoid any mess.
  • Carefully dispose of it.
Clean the bottles and tools
  • Set aside a bowl of warm water and add a couple drops of dish soap.
  • Remove the brush cap from the neck of the bottle.
  • Let all three pieces soak in water for five minutes.
  • Gently scrub or peel away any of the remaining nail polish with your hands or a small brush.
  • Set aside to dry. Make sure they are all completely dry before inserting a new polish capsule.
  • Use small pieces of tissue paper to dry harder to reach spots like the top of the brush cap.
Clean the maker before putting it away until your next use.
  • Turn each dial to 0.
  • Using a cotton swab or a tissue gently wipe off any extra pigment left on the nozzles of the maker.
  • Avoid getting pigment directly on your skin. It could temporarily stain your skin!
  • Your maker is clean and ready to be put away until next time.
Possible explanation #1: The color tubes were placed in the wrong order.
  • Turn the dials to the unlock position
  • Remove the color tubes.
  • Reinsert the color tubes in the right order
  • Turn the dials to position 5.
  • Put some tissue in the black cup and insert into the drawer
  • Press on each color tubes 3 times.
  • Open the drawer and check that the colors are dispensing properly
  • Use a cotton swab to gently clean off the wrong pigments from the nozzle.
  • Take note that the first nail polish colors created might be slightly off because of the pigments mingling. This issue should be resolved after a couple of uses.
Possible explanation #2: The dials are not press firmly enough.
Position 1 and 2 eject a verry little amount of pigment
  • Make sure to press firmly on each dial to ensure proper ejection of the pigment.
  • When you take out the capsule, check if all required colors were injected. Especially for recipes using dials in position 1 and 2.
  • If you feel that a color was not ejected, you can place the capsule back in the maker and press again on the missing color.

  • Start with the yellow dial - Turn it to the unlock position.
  • Remove the yellow color tube and cover the nozzle with a piece of tissue or with the cap.

  • Add a drop of water in the bottle
  • Shake it for 30 seconds until evenly mixed
  • Verify the smoothness and repeat until satisfied
Creating pastel colors
  • Create a saturated color you want to lighten.
  • Open a new white base capsule.
  • Using a toothpick, gently dip it into the saturated color.
  • Stir it into the new white base until you get the desired shade.
  • There! Easy pastel nail polish color.
  • Paint your nails between shades to create a cool gradient effect.
Creating over saturated colors
  • Insert a capsule you have already mixed in the maker.
  • Turn the dial to position 1 and press it once to add more pigment to your nail polish.
  • Remove the capsule and stir it with a toothpick.
  • Check if you’re on track towards the color you want to make.
  • Reinsert the capsule in the maker and repeat the same steps until you get the desired shade.
  • Paint your nails between shades to create a cool gradient effect.
  • Tips! Add only one or two different pigments at most. Otherwise, the color might start to get muddy.
Temporarily sealing a capsule
  • If you run out of bottles but still want to create new colors, you can temporarily seal the capsules with a piece of clear tape.
  • Make sure to store the capsule on a flat surface where it isn’t at risk of falling over.
  • If properly sealed, you should be able to keep it for a couple days without drying.
  • Before you start your manicure, soak your fingers in warm water.
  • Gently use the cuticle pusher to push back your cuticle.
  • Use the nail file to evenly shape your nails to the length you want.
  • Tip! If you find nail polishes tend to stain your nails, you may decide to start with a clear base coat.
  • This could also make your nail color last longer.
  • Use the brush to apply your first coat of color.
  • If you want the color to be more opaque, wait 5 minutes and apply a second layer.
Blending tool
  • Apply a second color of your choice on the blending tool.
  • Press on the nail to transfer the color and dab gently
  • Clean the blending tool immediately after use.
Tip tools
  • To make it easier, remove the neck of the bottle when you dip the tip of your tool.
  • Use the small tip tool to create fine, delicate details.
  • Use the large tip tool to draw bigger details.
  • You could also use the big tip tool to place a drop of color on the nail.
  • Then use the small tip tool to make a cool shape out of it!

INSTRUCTIONS

Setting up the Color Fusion Nail Polish Maker the first time you use it.
Make sure to properly protect the work area before set-up. Pigments in the color tubes and nail polish may stain some unprotected surfaces.
  • For the deluxe electronic edition only – unscrew the bottom to insert your 3 AA batteries.
  • Attach the handle to the two knobs at the side of the maker.
  • Snap in the drawer knob to the front of the maker.
  • Using the foam sticker sheet, pop out all four foam pads. Peel off the backing to stick the foam pads to the bottom of the maker.
  • Place a small piece of tissue into the black cup and drop it into the drawer!
  • If you have a label on your cartridge, remove the label and stick it to the instructions sheet.
  • Before inserting the color tubes, make sure to remove the cap from the color tubes.
  • It is important to double check that color tubes are set are in the right order.
  • They should match the color indicators on the maker.
  • The tubes make a clicking noise once set in place.
  • Set all the color dials to position 5.
  • Once the maker is set to 555, firmly press each dial 3 times.
  • Open the drawer and remove the black cup. Check that all three colors are dispensing properly. If not, press again on the missing color until all three colors are visible in the cup.
